Mount Usher – Up Close and Personal
I was determined to re-visit Mount Usher Gardens before our glorious Irish summer of 2014 comes to an end. So, armed with just a 105mm macro lens on my camera, I headed off last Sunday afternoon to capture some colourful blooms (and a few other things) close-up. I’m not going to caption these pictures as I am not at all good when it comes to knowing the names of flowers and plants.
My next visit to Mount Usher will be in a couple of month’s time – hopefully to capture some of the autumn colours when they are at their best. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy these photos from the tail-end of summer in the heart of County Wicklow.
Stunning photographs!
Thank you, Georgette.
Excellent John. Particularly like the butterfly shot, and the dying flowers make great subjects too.
Thanks Aidy … I agree about the dying flowers – they are surprisingly photogenic!
